Butler palace is a splendid building, situated in Lucknow. Foundation of
this wonderful building was laid in 1915 by Sir Harcourt Butler,
the Deputy Commissioner of Awadh. Primarily built by Raja
Mohammad Ali Mohammad Khan, it was later used by Sir Harcourt as his
home.
However, this amazing collection of three big buildings could only be
partially built due to customary floods on the Gomti River.
Facing the palace is a tank with fine-looking canopies and fountains.
