Askot sanctuary is located in Pithoragrah district of state Uttaranchal. Surrounded by the mountain and forests this charming greens Askot Sanctuary is a most excellent dwelling place of wild animals. The sanctuary is a house of many wild animals such leopard, deer, beers, kakars and a immense diversity of birds.

Lying in the lap of Kumaon Himalayas at an elevation of 5412 ft., the sanctuary is visited by numerous Indian and foreign scientists for the research projects.

By Air : Adjacent airport is Naina Sani in Pithoragrah, At a Distance of less than 60 kms.

By Rail : Adjacent railway station is Tanakpur ,Distance 204 kms.

By Road : From Pithoragarh at a distance of 55 kms.
From Almora at a distance of 150(approx.) kms.
