Kothi Farhat Baksh
: Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh)
: General Claude Martin
Style of Architecture
The bungalow called as Kothi Farhat Baksh was actually built by General Claude Martin, as his own house.
This small but beautiful building is an only one of its kind example of Indo-European structural design. Later, Nawab Saadat Ali Khan purchased it from Martin and it served as a residence for successive rulers with Wajid Ali Shah.
Later, the Lal Baradari was built for the Shahi Takht overlooking this place.
