: Kashmir's Oldest Muhgal Garden
Situated 8 km from Srinagar, these gardens were built by Akbar in 1586 and are the oldest of Kashmir's Mughals Gardens.
Only a short distance beyond the Hazratbal mosque, the Nasim gardens, the 'garden of tepid airs' or 'garden of the morning breeze', He had 1,200 Chinar trees planted in the garden, which is the oldest of Kashmir's Mughal gardens.
Today it's used by an engineering college and is not kept up for the public like the other Mughal gardens in Srinagar . It is possible to camp in this garden, but permission has to be obtained from the Tourist Reception Centre.
